If you spend much time in the North Tech Trailer (NTT), you will witness the production of some attractive and utilitarian maps for the route planning for the next day’s trek as well as the upload of the current day’s actual trek from the Trimble GeoExplorer 3 GPS units. If you hang around late enough into the night, you might even get sore muscles from laughing so hard!

The old adage of “work hard, play hard” certainly does seem to apply to the North Team volunteers. Today is my last day on-site at the NTT and I must say I will miss it. The past 8 days have been an adventure and a once in a lifetime experience that I will never forget. I have seen some sublime scenery, made some wonderful friends, learned some useful new technology (e.g. the Motosat Datastorm Satellite Dish, GPS PathFinder Office), and ate some good food. I even got to go on a couple of great mtn. bike rides!

Dave the Dog and his friend, Gen Green, will take good care of the techie needs of the North Team. Now I am on my way back to the civilized (?) world, traveling across some of the country that the NTT will cover on its journey south.
