Team North trekkers plunge into the wilderness again, with their backpacks strapped onto hopefully-not-too-aching shoulders. They'll cut through a tip of the Great Bear Wilderness, the northern part of the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex, and an important corridor for wildlife.

The lands covered by Glacier National Park, the Flathead National Forest, the Lewis & Clark National Forest, and the Helena National Forest protect an ecosystem little altered by the hands of man. Here some of the wildest wild animals have room to roam-- grizzly bears, wolves, lynx, wolverines, and perhaps even fishers.

Meanwhile, the support team is spreading the good word at the KOA campground in the town of West Glacier. Everywhere the American Frontiers teams go, they'll share their message of taking pride in our public lands.
