Historic & Scenic Trails
Team North, a group of extremely accomplished equestrians by now, is riding south again, this time on a three-day pack trip through the Helena National Forest and the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest of Montana.
Their route continues to follow the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail, more or less, tracing the country's watershed point. This trail is far from being the only route of importance in the area. The team will end up tonight at a trailhead for the Nez Perce Trail, which is the route that Chief Joseph & his band took while fleeing the US Army forces who wanted them to move to a reservation. And of course, Team North is blazing their own historic trail! Go team!
