Team North will reenact a small portion of the Lewis & Clark expedition by paddling across Clark Canyon Reservoir in dugout canoes. From there they will switch to a ATVs, which the Corps of Discovery surely would have loved.

It is nearly 200 years since Lewis & Clark made the trek across the newly-purchased tract of land which comprises so much of today's western states. Although much has changed on these lands since then, a surprising amount remains in the public domain. Team North will not see many of the sights that astounded the Corps of Discovery, like the great herds of bison or the great villages of the northwestern coastal tribes, but they will certainly appreciate the same scenery, like the vast mountain ranges of Montana, cut through by mighty rivers.
