Traversing the High Plateaus
With the excitement of the Jamboree behind them, team south heads north from Gooseberry Campground to Ferron Reservoir. Their mode of transportation is, appropriately, ATVs. Accompanying them is Paul Slavik from American Honda and Dean Waters from Off-Road.com
Team South is now well into the Central Highlands of the state, a collection of plateaus and ranges that will lead them north to the really high country of the Uinta and Wasatch mountains. They are now in a part of Utah generally neglected by tourists too busy to be on their way to one of the top attractions such as Cedar Breaks National Monument or Zion, Arches, and Canyonlands national parks. This suits local folks just right, leaving these impressive mountains for them to enjoy as their own backyard.
